Bali Bag (Small)

When I have a quilt on the machine that is behaving and does not need too much "babysitting" I have time to play.  This is my latest creation - the Bali Bag tote made with clothes line and Hoffman Bali Pop fabric.  The pattern is "Aunties Two" #AT102. I had a difficult time with the clothes line because it kept rolling on me.  Next one (yes I am going to make one for fall) I think I will go to the hardware store and see if I can buy the clothesline not wound so tightly.  I had my doubts about the outcome of this bag along the way - wasn't certain that I had the stamina to finish it.  But as it came together, it was addicting.  I couldn't wait to see what it would look like! You can throw anything in it - that I love because I am always carrying around long arm patterns and thread.

I have a beautifully well behaved quilt on the machine at the moment, so I think I will jump into a baby quilt for a deserving little quy in Michigan.  It will just be a panel with a border, sash and a flannel back.  I didn't have enough notice to make something a little more involved.  I'll keep you posted.

Peace to you Doug.  You could always light up the room with that smile.  You will be missed.

Linda
