Making Changes
Posted by adesigninmotion on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009
I have a bond with my computer as do probably all of you. I get emails, pictures, read the news, shop, keep up to date with quilt shops and download free quilting patterns. It simply feels comforting when the computer is up and running and easy to access.
What am I leading up to with this - when things don't go well -I instantaneously want to chuck the darn machine out of the closest window. Strange relationship to say the least!
I have been desirous of changing the slideshow pictures on the front page of the website. I want to reflect the change in seasons and give you something new to see when you come to visit (hopefully you are visiting often). My website designer has provided me with the tools to do just that. I am the "guinea pig" to see if I can easily make these changes on my own, before they post the directions on their website.
Talk about pressure. I thought I was doing well when I finally got all of my quilt photos organized in one folder, now I have to figure out how to make them the same size as the homepage pictures. I have gone from teeny tiny photos to almost the right size, but there seems to be nothing inbetween. Oh, how I don't want to fail at this. I think a seven year old could walk in here, sit down and accomplish this is five minutes or less. Trouble is, I don't have a seven year old!
I will keep you posted - or actually you can see for yourself how I am doing. I really don't want to be the flunky with the dunce cap : )
Success in your ventures today!
Linda
