Picture Guinea Pig - Success or Failure?

By now, if you have glimpsed the slideshow on the front page of the website, you have seen that some of the pictures have changed. Nice looking I'd say - we all want to see something new once in awhile. I could take the credit and say that I am the queen of the "quinea pigs", but in relality, Nikki at Danemco (my website designer) saved the day and sized the pictures.
She talked me thru the process and found me a really nice free download called "Gimp" that is similiar to Paint Shop. I scribbled notes furiously while she talked, and she has to be one of the most patient people I've ever talked to about computer programs and my needs etc.
I was very anxious to get onsite early this morning to do some picture cropping myself, until I looked at my notes from the previous day and thought "what in the heck does all of that scribble mean"! I am getting close, I have managed to get a picture on the editing screen, now I just have to size it so that it will fit into the slide show. I'll eventually get it : 0
In the meantime, I took a break and worked on the tunic dress pattern by Amy Butler. I have it all finished but the cuffs, sleeves and buttonholes. So far, it is shaping up to be very cute. I think that I'm going to like it. It is the perfect length for wearing over jeans.
Next, back to the "Bali Bag" clothesline covering. I figured I would break up the day and work on several different projects, that way I wouldn't get bored with any one thing. I tend to get sloppy when I get bored.
I will close with the saying that Carly Mul, the owner of Web Fabric, always uses - it is so great to work with fabric people.
