What are we Thankful for?
Posted by adesigninmotion on Wednesday, November 25th, 2009
Thanksgiving will be a little different at our house this year. Our only child is visiting her soon to be in-laws (with our blessings of course) and we are spending the day just the two of us. Sounds like fun to me (is that politically incorrect)?
I am thankful that my daughter is happy and engaged to a wonder guy who just happens to come with an equally great family.
I am thankful that I don't have to cook a big meal. I am thankful that I can catch up on some much needed sleep. I am thankful that I can go out to eat or choose to eat a frozen Hungry Man turkey dinner or pancakes for that matter. I am thankful that Steve can watch football all afternoon and that I can sew, knit or cross-stitch.
But most of all, I am very thankful that I know all my family and those that I care for, are safe, happy and healthy and that we all love each other immensely, whether we are physically together or not.
I hope that each and everyone one of you is as lucky as I. I also hope that you realize that it is not the possessions that you have, but those loving relationships that are most important.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Linda
