Back to work!

Time to start quilting again. Finally got caught up on the Christmas quilts. There should be a lot of thrilled recipients of some beautifully crafted quilts. What a loving Christmas gift to give to someone.
Next quilt to go on the frame is one that I have had for months - Kathy doesn't need this until March - but I have been chomping at the bit to work on it. Each block of the quilt has an antique hankie folded in the shape of a butterfly. I'm going to put a border and sash design on the quilt and Kathy will do some work with the butterfly blocks. I'll post pictures of it as soon as it is completed - probably by the end of the week.
I have been working on another "clothesline" bag made from the "Bali Pops". I still have my sister-in-laws bag to get started. Now that the holidays are past, we should be able to get together and proceed ahead. These bags are truly beautiful - the colors vary so much throughout the bag. Once you get the concept, they are not difficult to make and there are a large variety of buttons available in the quilt shops and JoAnn stores to add the finishing touch. The pattern is called Bali Bags - Fabric Covered Clothesline Crafts Tote Bag. You can e-mail auntiestwo@yahoo.com if you can't find it at your local quilt shop. I love to throw all of my long arm samples and patterns in the bag when I'm meeting with a customer. My goal is to have a bag for every season. I'm working on the "fall" bag now - I know I'm running a little behind schedule. They are also great for taking to quilt shows to hold all of those goodies that you cannot resist.
Keep creating - it makes you smile : )
