More Snow - No Quilting Going On : (

I remember how badly I wanted to move the long arm to our business offices so that I could have more space and "company". Conversation with other real human beings - not just talking to myself ! So how could I go wrong. Two things I love all in one place!
Well, I am working on one of the most beautifully pieced quilts that was given to me by Cindy at Needles & Pins (the picture is a little peak). This quilt of 2,400 pieces (give or take a few) is perfectly pieced by Lois - so if you know her work - you can imagine what a treat this is for me. I spent days looking for just the right pattern and color of quilting thread that would compliment the elegance of the quilt without detracting from from the piecing. I was so happy yesterday in my office with the machine humming while I worked on my computer. How could it get any better?
Today, I am reminded that having the machine in a location other than the house does have it's draw backs. How I wanted to finish that quilt today! Nothing is more exciting than taking the quilt off the frame for photographs and seeing for yourself whether or not your instincts were right (I think they are but I want to see for myself). But alas, blizzards have a tendency to get in the way and I will just have to be patient and wait until I get out of the house, driveway and neighborhood. But I'm wearing a little inside smile knowing that I have something really special to work on when I get back to the office.
Take advantage of your "snow sew" days and keep those quilts coming. Receiving each one is like opening a package on Christmas morning.
Linda
