Spring has Sprung!

Who would have thought! I am still looking at those blizzard pictures that slideshow by on my computer screen. You know, my arm still hurts from that last storm! But now my azelas, dogwood trees and daffodils are blooming - so pretty and an inspiration for a quilt. I am always doodling quilt top ideas.
Emily is happily married - not yet quite a month. Oh remember those days! I will post my favorite picture of her in the wedding when we have the final rights to the photos. She made a very beautiful bride - but of course what mother does believe that : )
I started a Facebook page for A Design in Motion. There is not much up yet - took me most of the day how to figure it out and I'm still running into some problems. But take a look and you will see the cute little quilt that I made for Carly at Web Fabrics. She had 50 patterns of this partiular quilt that she wanted to sell. What better way to sell patterns than to have a sample to see and touch. Carly picked out the fabrics - batiks - and I enjoyed making and quilting it. It is not very large - say 45 x 69 and goes together quickly. Since it is not in my color palette, I have a price tag on it. So it is for sale when she is finished displaying it or when the patterns are gone. She may have taken it with her to the Chicago Internation Quilt Show this week - so it may not come home. Oh, to find the Facebook page - when you log into Facebook just go to the search box and start typing A Design in Motion and click on the one with the Convergence Quilt pictured.
I did finish my second Bali Bag for fall - but never got the photo posted - better late than never! Last bag is for my sister-in-law. I'm not certain if there is another one in my furture. I love to carry them - they hold just about anything - but they are very time consuming. It is fun to work with the different batik colors. I found that the heavier clothesline that I bought at the Artful Quilter in Burke, Va. made for a much sturdier bag than this second bag that I used a lighter weight clothesline that I found at Lowes. It's strickly a person preference - obviously one is heavier than the other but I love them both.
