Weary, but still going!

Why is it when Saturday and Sunday roll around - my eyes pop open at the normal workday time? For the life of me, I just don't understand. On top of that, I feel guilty going back to sleep because of all of the everyday stuff that has to be done. I am certain that the spiders have set up shop in just about every room in the house - probably in my bed : (
I always have good intentions, wash, ironing, cleaning, watering, mowing, groceries, etc. etc. - everyone can understand. After the weekend shift, I always wind up bruised, scratched and covered in poison ivy. Is it time for the "old folks home"? But I'm not old I say to myself - you have to be pushing 85 or 90 to be old. Remember when our generation did not trust anyone over 40 - hah! That's a rude awakening.
But when it comes right down to it, a quiet evening on the deck, a glass of wine and my sweet husband (also covered in scratches, bruises and poison ivy) can sit back and enjoy our hard labor and it's wondrous rewards. The guiet and tranquility sitting on the deck with sun the going down is hard to give up! That is until that mosquitoes arrive : )
We in American enjoy a good and free life, full of promise and hope. Never let us forget the young men that are fighting to maintain our way of life and never let us forget to say give a hand to a stranger or help someone in need. We are all in need on one level or another. Be kind, be forgiving and just love the important people in your life. Life is so short after all.
Continue to do what brings you joy and live your life to the fullest.
Happy creating,
Linda
