Not that I am complaining mind you; but good gracious, time could slow down just a little bit.
I am finishing a very beautiful quilt made by Rebecca in soothing shades of green and an interesting background that reminds me of a damask tablecloth. I will have pictures of it up on the website slideshow and gallery shortly - just several more rows to complete.
Oh wouldn't I like to go to the national quilt show next week and spend five days with quilters, fabric and classes. I have never be able to get away long enough to do this, but I am definitely going to have to put this on the list of things I must do while I still have my wits about me : )
I love to go to the show at the Dulles Expo center in June. It is put on by many Virginia quilt guilds - such a lot of work goes on behind the scenes that the average attendee never sees. I love to look for "treasurers" and although I stopped collecting a "stash" several years ago (and actually am giving most of what I have left away), I still love to look for new ideas - gadgets and say hi to my quilt shop and Gammill friends. Hope to see you there.
Time to get moving on that "Bali" Bag for my sister-in-law. I will be seeing her soon for a family reunion and it would be great fun to surprise her with it (I don't think she reads my blog - at least I hope not)! She asked for the bag last year at the family reunion - how slow am I?
