Time Marches On

Kristen's Boxes (Small) I don't know about you, but this quilt pattern fascinates me.  It reminds of the samples of coping stones that we have in our Backyard Creations showroom.  Kristen did a particularly good job with her colors.

I am tempted to make one of these Box Quilt patterns; either that or a Stack and Whack.  I have seen some of those cross my frame, very interesting effect.  Or maybe just another original idea.  Well, half square triangles, how original is that : )  Well, I'm proud of it, and really isn't that all that counts?  You have to start somewhere.

One more king sized quilt to finish before Christmas and then I can relax.  Christmas shopping is close to being complete - just need to wrap - to me that's the fun part! The troubling part, Christmas will be here before you know it and then past just as quickly.

Am I ready for another new year?  I don't think I have a choice.  I have goals for myself and my business (I don't like to call them resolutions) and hope to bring them to life. I am looking forward to spending the holidays with family and am disappointed that I won't be able to see everyone that I love.

As things are winding down, aand I sit in front of the Christmas tree decorated almost entirely with handmade decorations by myself and my mother, I think of the positive things that have happened this year.  The new friends that I have made.  The fact that we are healthy and happy.  Of course, no ones life is perfect, but focusing on the positive is the the closest to perfection you are going to get.

It is also wonderful to be able to have interests that allow me to create and dream! I have met so many wonderfully creative people this year. They enrich my life more than they know.

Stay creative - keeps you young : )

Linda
