My project for today

Posted by adesigninmotion on Thursday, June 2nd, 2011

This quilt is a beautiful blend of rose and green florals.  The focal point is the baskets. With a flowing pattern called Swirling and a pale pink thread, it is turning out nicely.

Now that the yard is under control and all the flowers are planted, I'm getting the familiar desire to start a quilt project.  Should I go "art" quilt or something more traditional.  I am so in love with color, that I think I will design slightly on a "out of the box" design.  Recently I invested in the EQ7 computer program so that I could provide my customer with printed quilt labels for their quilt backs.  Rather than the usual colored pencils and graph paper, I think I will put EQ7 to work and come up with something interesting. Just writing about it is stirring that desire to get started and I already have the perfect Jelly Roll of primary colors to get motivated.

Thank you to the lovely ladies that met me in Leesburg to pick up their quilts.  I had planned to go straight home afterwards, but instead wound up at the Outlets and Costco.  That was a mistake as far as my wallet was concerned : )

I am behaving myself today and plan to be in the office quilting all day.  I promise to get cracking on a home page update.  Seems like something more important is calling - like having several great friends over last evening for some good conversation and food. You cannot beat a spontaneous get together on a beautiful evening.

Keep that needle moving,

Linda
