Friday's Challenge

My challenge for today! Penny has given me a delicious quilt with beautiful jewel tone batiks as the background and an appliqued fish placed slightly to the left of center.
Her objective is have me quilt a pattern called "calm waters" around the fish. The fish will then be embellished and given an eye. To top off the project - she intends to put a fishing line with a lure on the quilt.
I am learning so much working with these quilts. I hope my brain can keep up and store these beautiful color combinations and interesting ideas.
Finish a project this weekend!
