Friday has rolled around again!

Well, I am trying desperately to stay ahead of all of the quilts that are passing over my machine but I realized that I am not keeping up with my daily blog. Blah! I was being so good there for awhile and then, boom, one day I get distracted with lots of other things and the blog goes untouched.
There is an interesting story behind what is on my frame today. One of my customers visited Key West and found a trendy clothing store that also happened to sell the fabrics too. Well who can resist that situation - not me - so she bought several yards of different fabrics and then decided she liked them so much that she couldn't cut them. The answer to the problem - genius. She sewed a matching solid color down the center after she split the fabric in half and then asked me to quilt them as "beach blankets". Now that is style on the beach and not another blanket like it to be found I am sure.
I'll show you my little deck garden next time. The heirloom cherry tomatoes that Steve planted are delicious and the cucumbers have finally started to grow. It would be nice to have more sun; but then instead of quilting, I would probably be gardening all of the time.
