Monday is off to a running start!

This is another of Jennifer Raab's beach/picnic blankets. Remember, the other one was made with pink fabrics. I really like this idea just because it is so unique and classy.
Today I worked on one of her "camping quilts". She puts together a random quilt, using what looks to be loving leftover fabrics. When I quilt it for her, I use a wool bat to give it loft and warmth. Now that would be nice on a cool night in a tent.
We worked like fiends in the yard yesterday, trying to beat back the weeds, trim the bushes and mow the grass. With company coming, there is still lots to do. Steve and I have convinced ourselves that we should work at this a little each evening so that the weekends are not worse than being at work. But of course that was yesterday, he isn't home yet and it is obvious that I am not outside pulling weeds. Time will tell if we can stick to this decision.
Then of course, there is always the inside of the house to clean and food to plan for. All for a really fun outcome - but just like everyone else says - where does the time go.

Well, if I'm not going to pull weeds, then I should at least finish yesterdays wash and ironing. Good grief, what would it take to have live in help. My wildest dreams never to come true unless I win the lottery. Of course, you have to buy lottery tickets to win - that's the catch.
