Let's make a quilt together!

Soo many times, customers ask me to critique the construction of their quilt. Well, I got to thinking about this and decided a picture is worth a thousand words. I need a small quilt for a gift so I am going to start from the beginning and take you right through the binding. I will give you all of the dimensions and directions you will need to follow along. Feel free to use whatever colors you like - in fact - it would be fun to see the quilt in several different colors.
I want my little quilt to be bright and colorful, so I bought a Bali Pop in Mango Margarita and found a jelly roll of Moda solids. I drew the pattern for "Clay's Choice" for no other reason that it is simple and quick. The drawing does not represent the colors I plan to use. Get your fabrics together and then check back to watch the process - the quilt will be somewhere around a baby quilt size.
