I then used my ruler to do a little trimming making the piece a perfect 7" square. Now that was not so bad - and now you know that you are on the right track and have a nearly perfect block (I say nearly because, I believe try as you might - fabric does have a mind of it's own with crosswise, lengthwise and bias edges and things are going to happen)!
The block is difficult to see because I used scrapes for the sample. We will go through the numbers again once we get started!
Get your fabric together - it is going to be a cute little quilt!
