Progress on the baby quilt

Thus far, I have five blocks finished with several cut out and ready to be sewn.  Let's review:Fabric cut and seams sewn.Don't forget to cut the "ears" off of the blocks. Here you can see what I found when I was cutting the ears off of this block - a seam sewn shut.  Voila! Only takes two minutes to fix!Block is finished with perfect points using the technique that we discussed in the earlier blog. A picture of the finished block from the backside, shows all seams pressed open!  This is easy to accomplish with accurate cutting, 1/4" seam allowance, all seams going in the same direction so that they can be ironed opened and the rows of the block sewn together after pinning each intersecting block with a thin pin that will not distort the seams.

Hope this is helping!
