Nothing like a little hurricane to get you in the sewing room!

Well look at this - I spent the weekend finishing the blocks for the little quilt.  Now, if too many things don't interfere tonight, I hope to get the blocks together.  The step after that - I have decided to put a small white border around the quilt followed by another border of strips of all of the colors used in the quilt!!!

We didn't have too much hurricane damage.  You always worry when you live in the woods; but mainly just lots of leaves down, some tree limbs but nothing serious.  Thanks goodness we had the dead trees closest to the house taken down last winter. I am seriously sick of cleaning up leaves, sticks and spending the money to take care of the trees, but it is good exercise.  You have to find the positive in everything.

Now if I could just get past the garter stitch on the baby blanket all would be good.  I thing the baby is going to have to take this thing to at least elementary school with them.  I have no idea how I knit all of those cute baby clothes for Emily when she was a baby.  Must have had more brain cells back in the day : )

If you are following along with the little quilt - keep working!  I can tell that it is going to be very colorful and cute.

Linda
