I can breathe again!

With the little quilt finished and already gifted to the mother to be (or my daughter as she is commonly known) and the completion of the "beauty quilt" the one that is just supposed to hang for decoration completed and also given to the expectant parents, I can take a break. For how long I'm not sure, but these days come few and far in between and boy do they feel good.
Of course there is wash to be done, leaves to be raked, grass to be mowed - but sometimes I just need to focus on something other than the sewing and the quilting machine to clear my head. My quilters have been very good getting their November and December projects already completed - no last minute worries for them.
Wanted to show you the Teddy Bear parade pattern that I used on the baby's quilt. This is one of my favorite generic children's quilting designs. It go boy or girl - cute either way! I will get a proper picture of the "beauty quilt" which happens to be sailboats riding on waves. The baby shower was not the place for me to get a good shot.
Take a look at the home page for new quilts. I recently finished a huge "t-shirt" quilt complete with a Tutu and footed pj's. It was quite a work of art. I am sorry to say that in all my rushing around this past weekend, I forgot to photograph it. I will see what I can do about getting a copy to show. It is very unusual. Don't forget to click on the home page picture to go straight to the photo gallery for the quilt close up shots.
So for now, I am closing the computer, getting in my car and heading home probably to work on leaf blowing and raking if it is not too windy. Ahhhhhh - that sounds good!
Keep working on those Christmas projects - you don't want to miss your opportunity to have them machine quilted. I made a promise to myself that I am not quilting on Christmas Eve this year : )
